The sewing Frenzy continues!

I have been wallowing in sewing and been a happy little pig these holidays. I return to teaching in a matter of weeks after a 5 year break so I am trying to make the most of my time. The bed throw is completed and now only needs assembling after I decide if I will quilt it in some way. Not sure what I want to do yet. Whatever it will be it will be simple!

I have also got bag envy after seeing so many pretty hand made ones in the blog sphere so made a big shopper for myself.

My books arrived from 'The Book Depository' too, so more projects!
But there has been other things non-sewing related going on...

Followed by this...

So I think I can say we are having happy holidays so far :)

Hi Irene,

Lovely to find your blog! I have been reading a bit about that Rachel Ashwell book lately. I'd be interested to hear what you think. It looks lovely.

Have had a look back on your past posts and cannot believe the vintage christmas decorations you found! I would be frothing at the mouth if I'd found them!

I´m so glad that you´re having some happy holidays, your quilt and the shopper bag turned out gorgeous!

Hope the delicious cupcakes tasted good with a nice cup of tea?

Your quilt is turning out beautifully! And that bag is the best! So roomy and so pretty! Such a nice pattern!
AND I've been cupcake-crazed lately! I even made them the background on my blog. And I'll be making a batch later this week!
Yours look very yummy!
Enjoy!
All the best,
Eileen

Wow - what a stunning quilt you are making. As someone without a single crafty bone in her body, I am totally envious of people with talent like yours. Beautiful!

You are inspiring me to take some of my daughters clothing that no longer fits and make a nice quilt for a little girl!
Happy days to you.

The blue bed throw is a delight Irene, you are sooo talented! I've been wanting to buy from The Book Depository too, but not had the courage. Would love to hear if it was a good experience.
