The Patient Has Returned & Thrift Surprises Are The Best Surprises

Hi! I'm back :)
The rather stubborn virus has hopefully been sent to where-ever those nasty virus' belong and transmission is resumed! Thank you for your helpful suggestions ladies and gents!
*
Yesterday I managed some quick Op Shopping after swimming lessons and found my next to most favourite things - a small stash of doilies and linens

and...
two boxes with a collection of vintage faux flowers and bibs and bobs
as well as

these hiding in the bottom of one of the boxes...

a stash of vintage transfers. I am positive these are from the 1960's.
The ones that you wet and slide off onto your furniture.

a page of cute kittens

pieces of other cuties

loving the pooches sheet

but these are my favourites!
I didn't know they were there when I bought the boxes - I was after the flowers!

Now to decide how to use them ;)

So glad you're on the mend! I will be very interested to see how you use your transfers. Just seeing them reminded me of 'swaps'..I haven't seen any old ones of those from the '60s..since I went to school in the sixties...haha! That makes me sound old doesn't it?

I remember those transfers, I think my little brother had one on his Cot he was born in 1960...what a wonderful find!
I'm thinking they would look wonderful framed, even in a quite large modern frame with a wide mount?

You find the bestest treasures Irene

What a lucky find! These are so hard to find now, I scored a tiny sheet of ballerinas this week myself and thought that was pretty spesh.

I think I love the dogs the best and I always wonder who the artist was who did the illustrations for these kinds of things. So charming!

Glad you're feeling better Irene! The transfers are awesome!! I've seen images like that on vintage children's furniture, but they would be cool as scrap book embelishments, on altered art...Score! Please join me at my new blog www.thevanityfaireblog.blogspot.com ~Leslie

Glad to hear you've beaten that bug. Hope you're still well as I notice the date on your post. Hopefully you're just busy and it's not a relapse.
I LOVE the decal of the little boston terrier. Oh my goodness, what a great find you made in all these treasures. Lucky girl!
