Look at what I found in an Op Shop yesterday!!!
The real thing....in all their fragility!!
The boxes say they are from Poland and they cost shillings and pence so are pre-1968 (I think thats when we changed our currency to dollars and cents- I was pretty young)
Did a little dance out to the car...... :)

Oh, those look just like ornaments I have that belonged to my grandmother and she purchased hers in the late 1920's and early 1930's!
I'll have to check the packaging to see where they were made (she still had lots of the original boxes too!).
Good for you! Treasures!
Enjoy!
All the best to you,
Eileen
I see why you took some lovely dancingsteps, Irene, these ornaments are so precious, and old!
Congratulations from Helle
What a score!!
They are gorgeous and worth hanging onto!

Oh wow - how lucky you are. We hardly ever find such treasures here in Australia, so well done

What a marvelous find! We had a very small number of similar ornaments when I was growing up and (when my siblings and I were little) only my parents were allowed to hang up these vintage treasures for fear they'd accidentally get dropped. (I'd love to find some for my own tree one day!)
Wishing you a beautiful evening!

I'm so jealous! I looked for vintage ornaments last weekend at a flea market and couldn't find just the right ones. But I did find a vintage bread box for only $18, which I've been looking for forever. We both did happy dances to the car!
